I have iLife 09, and I want to be able to do certain things, so I'm trying to figure out my best option.

1. I am setting up all my chapter bookmarks in iMovie, so that I can make a DVD.
2. I want to be able to make the DVD in iDVD.
3. I also want a digital file that I can watch through iTunes or Apple TV.
4. I would love to get rid of the original footage that is taking up 13GB/hour.
5. I would still like the ability to edit down the road in iMovie if I want to make a different DVD, but without the original foorage.

So what I was doing was sharing with iDVD, making my DVD, and then exporting to an M4V file so I could watch it thru iTunes or Apple TV. I still had some problems when sharing it with iDVD, so I was trying to pull it into iDVD from the Movies tab. But then it says I have to share it first with the Media Browser.

So it seems that when I'm in iMovie, and either I export it to an M4V file, or share it with Media Browser, it still takes a couple hours each way. But if I share it with the MB, it doesn't ask me where I want to put it. So where is that file stored? What type of file is it? Even if I export it to an M4V, it's still available in iDVD to pull in, but not sure if that's the best format. Because, I also want to be able to pull it back in to iMovie to edit. And it says if I share it with the MB, I can do that, even if I don't have the original footage. Can someone help me sort this out?

Thanks!
