iLife 09 up-to-date

Does this install a new copy of iLIfe 09 or does it update an old copy
of iLife 08 to the new one? I ask because I don't have iLife 08 and if
it's an upgrade it wouldn't work for me, right?

The Up-to-Date program ended a while ago, IIRC.

If you have a disc, it will install iLife '09 ... I don't think it requires '08 to be installed already.
