Hey guys,

Just fyi.

I created a slideshow with iPhoto, using one of the default songs Apple uses. The iLife licensing agreement says the music, graphics etc can be used "for personal use". Uploaded the thing to Youtube. It's unlisted and not monetized; I wanted to show the photos to some buddies.

Well turns out, Youtube's automatic copyright matching hits the music. I disputed the copyright claim by including a link to the iLife TOS, as well as the relevant section.

Dispute was denied "by the copyright holder", I have no further recourse, and youtube is blocking the content in Germany. (I am German living in Germany.)

I will of course write to Apple's support about this case and ask for an explanation (if the music can't be used in Germany it shouldn't be included in the first place, or at least a warning attached) but I am quite frankly pissed about the way YouTube is handling this.
