ilife update for cheap?

So, I bought a macbook 2.16 c2d, 2g ram last weekend for the tax free holiday here in NC. I see iLife is being updated now, is there any chance I can get the upgrade at a discount? Or will apple laugh all the way to the bank?

i went to the apple sight. you can upgrade if u bought the computor recently for 9.95

That would only apply if you bought the computer today (August 7th) or later. So he would have to pay full price.

nawp, no luck. I'll just wait. Being a linux guy I'm not really a fan of paying for software
