ilife update/refresh in the near future?!

hi, i was looking forward to get my first mac purchase, but i wanna know when's the next ilife version will be released...?! like is apple going to make it this year, like releasing the next version? what updates do you think there will be ? i wanna get my mac with the latest software ...

If history is any indicator, it should be in January, though they've unveiled ilife in January before and sometimes its not available until a month or two later. If memory serves me, they've also delayed ilife 07 or ilife 08 significantly and wasn't available for a good part of the year

Edit: looks like they skipped iLife 07 outright and announced ilife 08 in August.

It's also worth nothing that iLife/iWork "09" no longer have an "09" on the box.

It seems a reasonable assumption that they *might* have removed it because they aren't planning to release "10".
