I purchased the iLife 11 DVD back when it first came out. Is there any way to get it synced with the App Store to update through the App Store (without purchasing it through the App Store) instead of the Software Update? Rather than show installed, or update on the app store, it shows me the price for each of the three applications. This also has me concerned when Mountain Lion comes out, since I read that the software update button has now been removed, and that it's now joined together with the App Store.

I suspect any Apple software that was purchased on disc will be able to be updated through App Store on Mountain Lion. You probably still won't see your iLife apps as being purchased.

It appears all that they are doing is adding Software Update into the App Store application so people will only have one place to go to for software updates instead of two places as it is in Lion if you bought stuff from the App Store.
