With MacWorld Coming soon, I'm surprised I haven't heard anything about an update to iLife. It certainly seems like it's time to me.

how bout that?

Well if only I could get the lottery numbers right now!

I had a feeling about this one :)

Is it possible that Apple will offer a discounted version of iLife09 to those users who have just purchased the aluminum notebooks? Seems a bit rough to have the latest product one day and then the next be out of date.
it's understandable over a period of time, but when you buy your computer the day before, it's a bit annoying. Worth returning almost.

That's pretty rough IMO. I'm happy to pay for an upgrade, and certainly more seeing as I have used the software for a small period of time, but to be cut out by a few days is not very nice.

Bad Customer Experience.

Well I plan to visit the Apple store I purchased my notebook from to see if we can "work something out".

Yes, I agree that is tough, but on the other hand they have to set a limit somewhere. So if they set the limit to the point where you might be able to take advantage of the offer, people that bought them the day before that would then be upset, and on and on no matter what date was used.:(
