So what's that mean? we will not seen anything new until 2010?

Is it possible that Apple will offer a discounted version of iLife09 to those users who have just purchased the aluminum notebooks? Seems a bit rough to have the latest product one day and then the next be out of date.
it's understandable over a period of time, but when you buy your computer the day before, it's a bit annoying. Worth returning almost.

Well I plan to visit the Apple store I purchased my notebook from to see if we can "work something out".
If the Mac is purchased on or after January 6, you can take advantage of the hardware up-to-date program and get the update disk for $9.95 as per the link on the main iLife page.
No joy if purchased prior to January 6 though- full price.
Yes, I agree that is tough, but on the other hand they have to set a limit somewhere. So if they set the limit to the point where you might be able to take advantage of the offer, people that bought them the day before that would then be upset, and on and on no matter what date was used.
Very true. I plan to upgrade no matter the cost but of course would prefer to get the $10 upgrade.
