If you ask me all that anti-pay for the iapps thingy has gone away.

i believe that the upgrades to the iApps and the integration is well and truly worth USD49

I mean, sure you can download iMovie, iPhoto and iunes for free, but they have made it so as to get the most functionality out of the whole package you really need iDVD 3.

reason: iDVD 2 wont recognise (and i love this) CHAPTERS.

that was the most important upgrade to iMovie in a long time. and the window view rather than whole screen.

BUT, the reason that you can download the other three for free but not iDVD is that is you dont have a superdrive then you dont want to pay for a program you will never use.

Apple, thankyou. I think you got it right. :)

I Disagree :)

I have an iBook. I do not have a DVD burner built in and have no burning (if you'll excuse the pun) need to burn DVDs any time soon. Therefore the only bits of iLife I want are the free bits.

[Edit : Just saw you covered this at the bottom of your post. Ignore this muppet.]
