I've managed to find OS X alternatives for most of my Windows software. I have a Windows version of Illustrator CS, but don't use it enough to justify the $$$ of the Mac version. Are there any programs that are similar to Illustrator and are freeware or modestly priced? If there is anything you recommend I would appreciate the tip!

over in macheist, they have a bundle for vector desginer if they hit $300,000. Keep an eye on it because the bundle comes w/ some great software for a good deal. And if you're looking to buy vector designer, it could be a great buy if you wait.

If you're a power user, there's unfortunately no replacement for Illustrator (or any equivalent Adobe CS3 apps).
