Hi,
I'm a new user of Illustrator CS3, and it's going well, but I have a question that I'd appreciate some assistance with.
I am drawing a 3D shape, so I've drawn a stroke, and used the 'revolve' effect to render it as a 3D object - all very cool.
However, the shape I'm looking to render is not a full cylinder (bottle, can or whatever), as it has a cut out - see below for a very simple representation, my actual shape is more complex than that straight-sided cylinder.
Rather than going down the route of pasting together a half-ring (lower section) and a full ring (top section), I'd like to find some way to render this in one piece.
Is this possible? If so, any hints much appreciated.
Cheers.
