Illustrator CS4 is sloooooooooow

Hey everyone,

i've had my iMac for a couple of weeks now. it works flawlessly. and i'm loving it, but one thing! Illustrator CS4 is really slow. it works slower than on my dual core windows crappy laptop! How weird is that?

Does anyone know what the problem could be?

I have the 27" iMac (i5 - 4GB - 1 TB HDD)..

how much RAM do you have?

I've got 4GB - and it's slow all the time, not just on start up.

Odd, I have a 20" iMac with lower specs than yours and Illustrator CS4 doesn't runs slowly.

Does it happens with a specific document? Or even with blank new documents?

No it's with every document. size is irrelevant. i don't know what's wrong with it.

my AMD dual core notebook thingy is faster, that's so weird. anybody else knows any tips/trucs?

i think the reason is graphic card, please call adobe.
