Hi,

I have 2 contracts with o2. One for me and one for my wife. I signed a new contract for my phone about 3 weeks ago, which naturally means I can't upgrade to an iPhone without paying the £219 or going through the unlocking drama!

I would be able to upgrade my other number (my wife's phone) but I would need to swap numbers with her, or give her the iPhone.....not going to happen!

So here's the crux of my question.....can I register the iPhone with my wife's number, sign the contract etc and then use my other sim on the phone. I could then put my wife's sim back in for updates etc.

My concern is that the iPhone somehow locks itself to the sim card number.

Now most of you will think I'm a prat for getting myself into this situation, and you would be right, however after you have all stopped laughing I would really appreciate some help!!

Cheers
Jez
