I'm about to go from iOS5 to iOS6 in prep for iOS7...podcasts

Is this going to be a smooth transition for podcasts? I know there is a new podcasts app that I haven't migrated to yet, been using the Music app since forever.

Is it going to forget a bunch of stuff in the "upgrade", like play positions and sync preference. I tend to leave a bunch of podcasts half-played to revisit later.

Podcasts app remembers your position and sync preferences. The only downside I can think of is inability to control podcasts while in the Podcast store ... You have go go through some poorly-designed menu structure to get from a podcast's store page to the podcasts stored on your phone. But you can pull to refresh now so there's no need to go into the store anymore except to discover new podcasts.

Honestly you'll lose nothing

No real issues with iOS 6, but it shouldn't be needed to go to 7 when it's out.
