IM App for 1.1.3

Is there any IM app for 1.1.3 that works, I have tried MobileChat and Apollo; both have failed. Apollo says it can't connect and MobileChat doesn't get out of the Connecting screen. If there isn't another IM app, are there any fixes for either Apollo or MobileChat?

I've got the same problem with Apollo.

Oh, there is an easy fix for that.

All you need to do is add some entries to your /etc/hosts file.

65.54.179.216 nexus.passport.com

If you add those, everything will begin working perfectly fine through both MobileChat and Apollo.

I just tried that but it didn't work. Is it the hosts file or the hosts.equiv file?

Yeah I've tried Meebo but I would like a native app.

Here is the link to the file that you use to replace the hosts file in /etc.

PS:

Just ssh into your iPod, go to /etc then drag the file that you just downloaded above and replace it with the file already there. Apollo and MobileChat should now work.
