I'm back with another issue - sound disappears!?

After upgrading, my Mac Mini (mid-2010 - 2.66 GHz Core 2 Duo, 4 GB ram) I have this continuous problem where after its been up and running 24-48 hours, the sound just stops. I'm a Mac/OSx rookie so I'm hoping I can get some more of the great assistance I've gotten here for my other Mac's issues after recent upgrade!. Thanks.
