I don't understand the concept behind this messaging service. What is the point of it? Is there some benefit I am unaware of?

The whole reason people use IM+ is because there are people spread across multiple messaging services, why would they want to spend money to make that situation worse?

your not spending money to use Beep in app, its just a messenging service within IM+ to use app to app without the need to sign up or use a IM service. Is it needed??? not exactly but its free with IM+ and covers another base they didnt before.

I meant IM+ was spending the money developing beep. It might make sense as they could have much of the infrastructure in place with the push services machines but why spend the man hours?

This is my point here below, there is no way this is going to catch on especially when they don't have a mac or pc app. It's like imessage only more cross platform. Introduced in a time when we have had several cross platform IM for well over a decade.
