i'm buying a new iMac what do i do next

Hi
I'm upgrading from a 21" running snow leopard to a 27".i want to sell my 21".
How do i transfere my setup to my new mac do i need any special cables for them to talk to each other,will my photos be sent to the new mac or is it just docs and settings.

What do i with my old mac to restore to factory settings,do i just put the disc in a let it run.

Migration Assistant for transfer. It comes on your Mac. Here are the instructions:
