I got a strange problem. Lately my Apple Watch gives me notifications regardless of my DND (do not disturb) settings.

So I’ll be sitting there and my watch will vibrate as usual, then I grab the phone and notice DND is on and technically I shouldn’t have been receiving any notification.

Anyone else see this issue? I tried googling a bit but couldn’t find the same situation.

The only thing I can think of is the ‘Mirror my Phone’ setting is not set in the watch app-General-Do Not Disturb. I’ve never seen that happen before.

Why don't you try schooltime mode instead? I guess the nomenclature is a bit awkward but that will work as traditional DND mode as I know.

My thanks to Dwood1970 for the answer above. I came to the forums today to rant, and this is a rant:....I just had my second night with my Apple Watch. It doesn't seem to track sleep with as much details as my Fitbit Versa, but the biggest issue is that the AW just won't shut up.
I have it set for sleep mode, but I am a physician and this week am on call for several colleagues, so I took my iPhone off Do Not Disturb mode. So at 3:52 AM, I got a Notification, I think from Calm, advising me to take a deep breath to relax. Later, I must have had the watch face resting on my pillow, and it rattled as it changed faces. My wife said there was some other bleeping or blooping that I slept through.
So I have now turned off the mirroring with my iPhone. If I wear my watch tonight and it's still a rude bedmate, I just may be returning the watch. <End of rant, for now>
