Its kind of an irrational decision I now. The 2011 13" is a great machine and it does everything I want. Its a second PC that I use for personal and work because I hate my Windoze machine issued by my company.

I started in the Mac world with a 2010 11" MBA. After moving to the 13" I really missed the ultimate portability of the 11". I travel quite frequently and found the extra bulk of the 13" really cumbersome. The 11" is so easy to whip out on the airplane and even is more convenient in a business class seat. I use an external monitor at home.

I don't really need the upgrade but I just want to do it to experience the insane battery life. I guess Apple really has me good.

You like what you like. The shorter front to back size of the 11 is def nice..
