Ok i know it might sound stupid, but here’s the thing: from a previous post I’ve already told you all that a friend was traveling to Florida in hopes of finding the iPhone 13 pro. I ended up spotting one online and I purchased it, she will be picking it up tomorrow. But I’ve been reading some of your posts here about your new phones and many of you have encountered several bugs or hardware issues that obliged you to return the phone and wait until the manufacture process is improved. And I’m afraid that once my friend returns to my country, the phone can present some issue that I won’t be able to solve since I can’t just ship it internationally to have it exchanged, so it’s kind of like playing the lottery. By now you’d probably have wondered why did I purchase it in the first place, and that is because my current phone is broken and this was my only chance of replacing it. My current one is an iPhone 7 that was purchased in Mexico or United States I believe, but it was purchased in January and by that time almost all units sold were ok and didn’t present a single issue.

I wanted to ask y’all if your iPhone 13/Pro/Pro Max has presented some problem that made you return it , or if so far things are going great with your phone. Either way, I’ve already bought it and there’s no way back so I’ve got my fingers crossed in hopes that my phone is ok

Keep in mind that this is a forum where people come to ask for help when something is wrong. It has been like that since the first iPhone and it is like that for every piece of tech.

For 99% people it will be completely fine, but you won't see them posting about it.

Hopefully you’ll get a unicorn without frame damage and screen inconsistency. You best have your friend open and check it for you before leaving.

I’m mostly happy with my 13 pro. really nice screen and I’m not noticing any uniformity issues. The refresh rate is noticeable, and switching back and forth to my work phone (iPhone 11) makes the 11 seem sluggish.
The issues I’m having with my device is with the camera (mostly main sensor, hdr and processing) that is being discussed in another thread.

I would hold on to my older device, also an 11, if I knew how the new one would behave with the cameras.

I got my 13 Pro two weeks ago. I was worried, too, from what I had read here. I have had absolutely no problems- it is an amazing phone. No display issues, no gaps around the frame, no issues I can tell yet with the cameras.

Yeah I read about that issue with the cameras but I'm positive that it will be solved with future iOS updates

I've seen some posts regarding that display issue, but i don't know what the problem is since i haven't had enough time to read everything. Is it a problem related to the 120hz refresh rate? And about the cameras, I'm not too worried because I know that I won't be capable of detecting wheter they're fine or not since coming from an iphone 7 is a tremendous upgrade, maybe i could notice that problem if i were updgrading from an iphone 11 pro or 12 pro.

Almost 6 weeks with the 13 Pro Max, I do NOT regret it! Had a little bug with the old iOS 15.0.2 (battery thing) but it worked itself out. So far personally iOS 15.1 has been great! Battery is an absolute beast!
Oh I'm glad it worked itself out. I really really hope that If my phone presents an issue, it's something that can be fixed with a future iOS update. I really want to avoid the process of going to an authorized reseller (we don't have official apple stores here) to have it repaired. Even though the warranty is international, i still don't want to go through that tedious process. I just want to enjoy my new phone lol

Some people were referencing issues with colors being off, or uneven- and some were seeing jitter when scrolling, due to maybe the variable refresh rate not working quite right. But that seemed to be a more minor volume of complaints here.

The biggest one by far seems to be the camera- but from all I've read it really sounds like a software issue that can be fixed with a future update- and if someone is really picky and likes to pixel-peep to identify any issues, they would have success using a 3rd party camera app such as Halide or Pro Cam 8- which many people have said is producing pictures without any of the issues that some are seeing when using the native Apple camera app.

Ok so let's say that my phone comes with that problem of the uneven tone of the display, could that be fixed with a software update? Or is it something that has nothing to do with it and can only be repaired by replacing the whole screen or alternatively having your phone exchanged for a new one?

If the display has uneven tone, that would be hardware and worthy of an exchange.

Not sure if many have had that issue, though- seems to be a very small minority.
