Hi, I wasn't sure where to put this thread, sorry if its in the wrong place.
I just bought a new mac notebook, and the cd/dvd drive won't open. It did a few times and it made a horrible almost grinding noise, and I have a cd in there now but it won't open. I'd hate to have to send it back since I just got it but I'm afraid I have to. Does anyone know what I could do about it? Thanks for your interest :)

If you're talking about the drive itself (like a tray) it's not supposed to open. It's a slot load drive, you just slide the CD into the slot, like a car CD player if you've ever used one. There's no tray that pops out.
