I am looking to upgrade my 2011 Macbook pro (2.2i7 quad, 8gb ram, 254 HD)
I was going to buy a new 15” MBP,
but I am now considering buying a nTB 13” MBP (ideally the base model with 16GB Ram and possibly 512 HD)
will I notice much difference?
Will I be going backwards in terms of performance?
I was thinking the extra RAM and faster HD will help as it looks like my 2011 video card (Radeon 6750) might be better

my old laptop is so heavy and I only do graphic work on it’s only when I’m away or out which is not that often
mostly I do web and films

I should mention I have 2015 Imac 5k with Raid as my main machine I have in my studio (at home)
I do mostly after effects, photoshop and FCPX and some VR

I also have an oculus DK2 headset and this doesn’t properly work on the iMac I was hoping the new laptops would work :-0
So the money I save I could buy a basic VR PC set up, which is something I have to do.

I was considering a 2015 15” MBP, but it’s slightly too expensive if I get PC

any thoughts appreciated
Mike
