i finished using my iPod touch 2g 16gb and put it on standby by pessing the button on top, and iv just picked it back up and nothing. It has a black screen and wont come on, iv even pluged it into the computer and iTunes doesn't recognize it at all. What do i do?

If you've tried everything and you're still under warranty then your best bet is to just return it for a replacement. This happened with my 1G touch and Apple just gave me a new one.

:D IT WORKS :D

I just help the home button and the power button down for about 7 mins and it just made a funny bleep and went straight from black to the unlock screen.

Ow. Sore fingers? It was probably just yelling at you to stop holding its buttons down.

yer my finger do hurt a bit now. before i did that though it would not do anything literary. No life what so ever, iTunes did ent even recognize it. :S
What could it have been??

That wouldn't have been too bad; if you never ripped your CDs in a higher bit rate, it would have been the chance; if you bought you music off iTunes, they let you redownload. The world isn't that bad.

But good to know everything is working.
