Good Morning- I'm looking for a used macbook air for my daughter. Since it's her first apple laptop, I don't want to splurge on a new one. I'm thinking of getting a 2015 model. Can ya'll make some recommendation if it's a good model or not. I read awhile ago about keyboard issues (not sure if it's the this model or year+model). Thanks in advance.

I have a 2017 (up from a 2011 model previously) - and the 2017 was the last of the 'good' keyboards before they changed design (and now, I understand, back) - I've not heard anything specific about 2015 models in other regards, but this is certainly the place to do so. The 2017 and earlier still have a range of useful ports and the individual Magsafe power connector, so that's helpful. Fewer dongles, if it comes to having to connect things up. As ever, be particularly careful with a used computer and where you get it from. Apple doubly so, as their inherent proprietary nature can mean they can be pricey to repair. Go with a place / person you absolutely trust. I *get* the desire to not blow big bucks, but you might want to check with Big Boxes and see if they don't have older models 'in the back' at a discount (and at this time of year - school start and new models on the horizon, big sales often happen), or, if you can see your way to something newer than 2015, and with real Apple warranties available, check out Apple's online Store for Refurbs. Completely and individually checked out - arguably better than that at factory - before re-selling. Stock constantly changing at these stores - here's the US version - https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished/mac

Happy hunting.

I had a later model than you're looking at, but you might find a good deal online. Mine was a 2019, midrange configuration. It was very responsive for Apple apps and MS Office. Zoom and Slack spun up the fan to where it was pretty annoying though. No keyboard issues and I liked typing on it. Great travel laptop, and would be fine in general if you like smaller screen sizes and workload isn't too taxing.
