I'm no longer able to select text with one finger tap since upgrading

I upgraded from Yosemite and before it was possible to select text with the following gestures:

2 taps with one finger at the start of selection, then drag and then another tap with the same finger.
Now I have to click instead of 2 taps. I looked in Trackpad settings and nothing that I can do.

Anyone can confirm ?

I can confirm that I'm not able to double-tap, drag, tap to select text. I can't confirm it worked that way in Yosemite or El Capitan. I've always used the double-click, drag method.
