This year.

Nope. No one will be getting my hand-made picture cards this year.

Why?

I want to actually relax and enjoy my holiday.

Selfish?

Maybe.

I just don't think anyone but the closest folks in my life are getting any. I usually do...christ, I don't even know how many.

Maybe I'm just not very sentimental, but...I've always thought xmas/birthday cards are a complete waste of time and trees

Mmm. Who actually cares? Our family get so many.. they all get a brief read, and then displayed somewhere for Christmas.. Life goes on..

Well I finally realized that no one really ever says - gee thanks, Gary those cards are great. I mean I make them from scratch - blank card, photomount all those pictures, hand write out all the notes...

I just don't feel like it this year.

thats the type of stuff i really really appreciate. somebody spending time and effort on me (along with thought)... well you just cant beat it.

Well, I'm sending cards but only signing my name inside them. Address labels done on computer. Hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

I'll bet someone will ask you why you didn't send them out this year, though. One of those things people take for granted, y'know?

BTW, those cards sound great, iGary.

First year I sent a bunch of cards, guess that´s what having a baby does to you. Gotta show her off to everyone:p

I never write christmas card. I always buy them but I always forget to write them, sometimes I do it after new year  People know me, so they dont mind :)

Perhaps I should be embarrassed that we do send out pictures?

I stay in touch with online friends all the time, but for some sending a holiday card is the only (or only other) way we stay in touch. So I make home-made cards on the computer, print them, and send a batch of them out every December.

Meanwhile, here's some discouraging news about snail mail:

I make cards sometimes but this year, I've been lazy and just bought them. I will write a little note in them all...

Sadly I don't have a picture of my most successful home-made card, hmm, it's about 7 years ago, perhaps it's time for a repeat! I got blank cards and stuck a tiny red pompom in the centre of the front. Then I got holly leaves and stripped them from the branch, stuck a sticky fixer on the back and then put two on the card, at a jaunty angle above the pom pom.

Kinda like this

The leaves looked like antlers so the whole thing looked kinda like Rudolph.

How about you just send cards to MacRumors members this year iGary... ;)

We'd all say thankyou.

They couldn't have just made it 40 cents.
