..in the new version of Leopard (only in the newest build that came out yesteday) the red stoplight button actually closes an app and quit it completely. It's a brand new feature in leopard but only works in apps that don't work in the background such as iLife 08 ect; It's very handy... you want a source?

Uhm... I'm not sure that that's a new feature, plenty of programs already do that in OS 10.4... So yes, we've known about it.
