When does the new Iphone officially drop. Does anybody know. and when does 3.0 become available to the public. I needs that asap. Im tired of recieving sms that i can't view or wiping my battery out checking my email every hour lol...

I believe he means MMS, which 3.0 would most definitely help.

3.0 will have push which will abandon the need to fetch every 15 minutes or whatever your personal setting is which does reduce battery life.

Current iPhone OS already supports push email, so 3.0 won't help him there. 3.0 will have push notifications for other applications.
