I'm really excited too. I keep pressing the software update button even though I realistically know it won't be available until 10:00am pacific time or so. Also, interested to see how smoothly things go as this is the first major update over the air. 
iOS 6 should tide me over on my 4S until I can realistically get an iPhone 5 in December or so.
I'm still really impressed with it's speed and fluidity, along with the camera of my current iPhone so really delighted with all the other improvements iOS 6 will bring.
Also, I've never played with iOS 6 on any beta so this will be my first experience with it. Woop!

Back up your devices and make sure to upgrade via computer. So just in case you want to go back to 5.1.1, there will be a copy somewhere in your iTunes folder or the trash. If 5.1.1 is in the trash after the upgrade, don't trash it, but keep it.
I have the gold master installed. The App Store seems to be getting some back end updates. You can still only view five total reviews per app but there is now a More Reviews link which does nothing at the moment.

I can't wait for it on my iPad, i have no idea why siri wasnt on to begin with - my iPhone 4 isn't going to see much improvement and also it's only two days until my new shiny iPhone 5 arrives.

You had to wait the same time between announcement and release as I did.
iOS 6 comes out and I can't barely wait until I get Siri, Flyover, Offline-reading list and much more!

You won't get Siri on your iPhone 4 with iOS6.
I would be excited if I hadn't had it since beta 1.
It's been fun watching it develop, particular Apple maps, they've come a hell of long way since beta 1 when the some of oceans were in the wrong place and only 4 3D cities.
