For your entertainment:
Since I’ve owned my Apple TV 4 I’ve always clicked the trackpad to turn the tv and Apple TV on. When I got the beta of tvOS, I thought either my remote was broken or there was a bug because clicking the trackpad would not turn it on. I was using the remote on my iPhone to turn it on.
I just now figured out that you have to hit the TV button to turn it on. I feel so stupid. But thinking about it I love it. So many times I’d be watching tv before bed and put the Apple TV to sleep, forgetting to set the remote on my nightstand. I’d roll over and it would all turn on.
