I continue to be amazed by the battery life on my base M1 Air. Yesterday, I got 9+ hours out of it during a full workday (Slack, Safari/Chrome, Outlook, etc.), with 53% battery life remaining. (My brightness is almost always below 25%.)
With my 2020 i5 Air, I'd be lucky to get 9 hours of total battery life.
Battery life seems to be getting better since I bought it on launch day, although I don't have data to back that up. Microsoft and Chrome getting optimized for the M1 might have helped.
