I have an iPhone 4S on ATT. I'm paying a monthly fee for text messages. I also signed up with google voice that allows me to get free text messages. The problem is that I have two separate mobile numbers... one for the iPhone, one for google voice.

How can I set it up so that I can receive text using my iPhone mobile number without paying the fee every month?

Is there a different app I should be looking at? Thanks

Not that I know of.

A lot of us GV users are jailbroken and use the GV SMS Extension, which makes your GV number the "default" for sending via Messages. Texts to either your iPhone or GV number come into Messages, but responses go via GV. This doesn't even do what you're asking for, but it's close. You have to tell people to text you on the GV number to save the $$.

There's not really a workaround for iPhones that aren't jailbroken. You've gotta use the GV app.
