I have a Sport w/ Blue band shipping any day now and the elusive and popular SS w/ Black Band shipping in June that I ordered late (4/13).

I really want the SS with black band but I am interested in trying out the watch sooner, thus my other order. Will I at least be able to get most of my money back if I sell the Sport in June on Craigslist/swappa/eBay or something?

Or do we see the market for these tanking a dive by then since most who want them will have them?

Nobody knows what's going to happen to the market on these once they're readily available. You'll probably be able to get most but not all of your money back if you keep it in excellent condition, but that is only a guess.

I'm all out of faith
This is how I feel
I'm cold and I'm shamed
Lying naked on the floor
Illusion never changed
Into something real
I'm wide awake
And I can see the perfect sky is torn
You're a little late
I'm already torn

:D

You would probably recoup most of your money if you decided to sell it in one months time.

Depends on what you meant by "most".
Judging from other Apple products, an iPad 2, one should be able to sell a used one in like-new condition for about 3/4 of the retail price. Higher if the local sale tax is high.

Of course, you'll also in to factor in supply and demand. If the watch is still popular and liked by many, then there will be more buyers than sellers. On the other hand, if sellers > buyers, then the price will tank in the used market.

Hm, link not working or the auction is over. Did it sell? how much?

Just search the last number part of the link in eBay, you'll find it.

I am in a very similar situation... my SG 42 Sport preorder arrived this morning but I am also torn whether to open/use it or not, I have since ordered a SS 42 Milanese shipping in "June".... if I don't open the Sport box I could sell it for profit right now (just to be clear, I'm not a scalper however the market definitely exists at the moment).
My options:
-Sell the Sport today and make $150 instant profit (which would help ease the pain of the SS Milanese price point here in Canada)
-Use the Sport for a couple of weeks and either sell it on for small profit/cost price if the SS Milanese ships sooner than June
-Use the Sport for 14 days and return for refund to Apple
-or just keep the damn Sport and enjoy it!!

Arrgh! Damn you, first world problems!

I have a Silver Sport with blue band that I put up on eBay last night. My Space Gray Sport with black band is coming today. Both are 38mm.

Toying with the idea of selling both and buying a Stainless Steel with white sport band (placed an order, but it says June 1-12).

Here is what I did:

My partner ordered a white 38 Sport, for my Birthday/anniversary gift. I received it last Friday, April 24.

I wore the watch through the weekend. I intended to keep it, yet, consumer reports released a video testing the screen durability and I saw a few drop tests on YouTube (the sport screen scratched or shattered in all cases, where the SS Apple Watch was unharmed) - my OCD got the best of me.

I called Apple, asking if I could return said watch to the Apple Store, I could.

I drove to the Apple Store, with everything in tow (including the brown shipping box) and explained I wanted to return it. They seemed puzzled, but I shared that this is a testament to how much I love the watch. I love it so much, I wanted a better variant.

I ordered the Stainless steel + Milanese 38 (w/AppleCare).

I returned the Sport for a giftcard and paid the difference for an additional giftcard, as a specialist assisted me with finding the price difference I needed + AppleCare/tax.

It was worth the $360 dollar difference, for a the nicer watch.

I had the watch. I had it at launch. I miss the watch.

The only terrible part, I'm at the end of the line.

That's worth it for a much nicer product.

The sport is very nice, but my ocd of checking for micro scratches will be abated.

I'd say this:

Get rid of the Sport, get the Applewatch SS. Don't even bother, as every moment you wear the sport - something could damage it to make it not returnable. I was lucky that I babied it on my wrist - admittedly, I did little this past weekend.

I ordered the Stainless Steel space black for 1100. I'm now torn between that one and he space gray Aluminum sports watch. I read some good reviews on the sports watch. Really torn
