Made it about halfway through. The rest is still sitting on the DVR. Maybe tomorrow morning when I'm not doing something serial.

I saw it, and wasn't too impressed. The feeling I got was that after last week's episode they scaled back a bit and went for an easy mark - how hard can it possibly be to poke fun at Al Gore?

So, Manbearpig = global warming?
Were they making fun of global warming or Al Gore doing a movie/speeches on GW?

Didn't watch the whole thing, Top Chef was more interesting.

I don't think they were making fun of global warming (they done that a few times all ready) as much as they were making fun of Gore's methods of attempting to educate people about it. IMO, they were saying that Gore only does this stuff to stay in the limelight, not because he really cares about his causes.

Great episode.

Great episode? You musta been watching a different episode then the rest of us. On all the South Park forums that I frequent it is almost unanimous that manbearpig was one of the worst episodes ever. People are even beginning to wonder if Matt and Trey are trying to ruin the show on purpose to make some sort of point. But hey, if you enjoyed it, then good for you, I'm glad someone's enjoying it.

Excelsior!!!!

I thought the episode was ok. I thought Cartmen eating the treasure was hillarious.

we must fill the cave with burning hot lead

hey, isn't that the fake treasure we put in there for the kids?

I thought this was a great episode. One of the top ones of the season. The Oprah one was really weak. Half Man, Half Bear, Half Pig :D I liked it a lot. This was classic SP storyline.

I like the fact Manbearpig was abreviated on the show as MBP. Rings a bell.... ;)

Yeah, not one of my favorites for sure. It seemed to me like they got too far along the production timeline to yank a bad storyline and start over, so they just kept going.

Cartman eating the treasure was definitely funny, as was the 'Excelsior' line. But seriously, that was the funniest way they could think of to skewer Al Gore? Come on.

When you compare that episode to one like "Child Abduction is Not Funny" it's easy to see why MBP wasn't one of the top SP episodes.
