I'm waiting in line 6/19 8AM! Who else??

I have reserved my phone for Apple store and will wait in line around 4-5AM to get the 3Gs. I did this last year and they had hundreds in stock, so I'd expect the same stock number.

I would purchase online but it'll be delivered the 24th as most users are reporting currently, so I cannot wait.

I can go to AT&T but I would much rather wait in line in the nice, calm suburbs than to go to my AT&T corporate store downtown with homeless people and shady people walking around the city that morning.

Who else will be waiting in line at their Apple store?
 
I'll wait be waiting at home for the Fedex guy to deliver mine :)

I'm sure you'll have a lot of company.
 
I would rather wait 3 hours in line than wait 3 extra days when everyone else who waited in line got their 3Gs already. It wouldn't make a difference to me because I'll be waiting 3 hours at home awake for the FedEX guy anyway so I won't miss the package. (Home is only 15 minutes away from Apple store, not far)
 
Mine is being delivered to my work place on 6/19. Someone will be there to sign for it and I will be there to snag it. I won't have time to play with it much anyway. Will probably just charge it up and when I get home from work I will activate it.

Delivery date on all orders changed to "Delivered by June 19" instead of the 24th. So everyone will get it on Friday, possibly earlier if FedEx goofs up like they did with Leopard.
 
I just prefer having the iphone right there and then and just go to work afterwards with my new phone.
 
Ok forget the waiting in line thing. I'm going to order it online and see if the arrival date is really 6/19
 
I'll be outside the O2 Store, Cash maybe in hand.

Just wanna check it out, even if i dont get one.
 
Does anyone know yet the stance of the iPhone3GS being on sale at Apple Retail Stores?
Is this still happening? It's an hour-around trip to my nearest.

I'm happy to make the journey, and wait in line, but I need to know they'll be selling them.

By the way, I'm also currently locked into an iPhone 3G contract, which
I'm fine about, after all, I signed the 18 month contract.

I'll be plunking for a new contract on the morning of June 19th. :cool:

When you got your confirmation email did it have a date listed under date? mine was blank and I don't know if it's messed up or if everyone got it like that.
 
I won't be waiting in line although I will be getting it at 7am. I just pre-ordered it at my local store. They will open the doors at 7am to fulfill all pre-orders and then the rest of the public will be allowed in at 9am. Yay me.

I'm actually talking about reserving it and picking it up in the store but I called my local store and they said that even though I'm in the system as having one on June 19th it's not written in stone and that they would most likely call everyone when they know exactly what day their reserves are ready. I'm guessing, from what everyone else is saying about the 3G launch that, I should be ok for the 19th but they don't want to say it until they actually have enough phones in the store to cover everyone.
 
I didn't get my confirmation email yet, I ordered 10 minutes ago. When is the normal wait time for the confirmation email. I swear, if my phone doesn't come on the 19th as promised, I'm complaining.
 
You guys are crazy.. The OP says he "cannot wait" until 24th.. is his current phone going to explode at 00.01 on 19th June? :confused:
 
The OP (ME) has officially ordered online and will wait at home on the 19th. Thank you everyone who clarified the shipping date!
 
I don't mind doing that to activate. I just don't want to stand in line. It would be funny to stroll into the store and stare at everyone waiting while you are holding the 3G S in your hand.
