I am having issues with my iMac. It is beeping when powered on after HD upgrade and RAM swap out to dual 8GB PNY Sticks. And I tried using the PRAM reset and putting on new PRAM battery. Still nothing beeps they are brand new PNY Sticks and passed Mem test. I am wondering if it is the Logic board. Also I am wondering if there is a compatible Blu-ray slot loading and the part number for the Disk Tray SATA cable.

Note want to know if 6TB HD is compatible.

One long beep, can’t detect RAM. Three beeps, RAM doesn’t pass validation.

This can be as simple as having mixed RAM in the wrong slots or not having one slot seated properly. Of course, incompatible RAM will cause this, too.
