Hello there from Mexico.

Today i bought an used iMac Late 2009 for parts(A1312 EMC 2309) Core 2 duo E7600 @3.06 and AMD 4670 256 MB for around $45 dollars. When i arrived home after dissassembling the imac i saw the LVDS connector is bad and needs to be replaced. The thing is i cant find a shop who sells this parts and i need to order from aliexpress and shipping goes to 30+ days.

I found a guy who is selling a motherboard from its Late 2009 iMac (A1312 EMC 2374) with Intel Core i7 860 and AMD 4850 512 MB for $60 dollars.

My question is if i can replace the motherboard from Late 2009 Core 2 duo to Late 2009 Core i7?

Thanks in advance.

From what I can remember, you can swap the C2D logic board for the iX version, however you will not be able to use any Core 2 Duo chip in it. They use different sockets between the C2D and iX (i5/i7) versions.

I will give a try then. I think $60 dollars for "repairing" lvds connector and upgrading from core 2 duo to intel i7 and 4670 256mb to 4850 512mb absolutely worth the money.

I don't care if I can't use core 2 duo on the new motherboard because the price includes the Mobo, the graphics card and the new i7 processor.
