I recently upgraded to a new iMac 20" 2.4 with 4gigs of ram. Sweet! Now I have to unload my old iMac, but need to fix the CD/DVD drive (not a super drive) first. It doesn't reliably open disks.

Are disk cleaning systems really worth it?
Should I open it up and have a go at cleaning the drive lasers myself?
Should I buy a used/third party drive and replace it? (where to find?)

Take it to a professional to clean or consider buying a new superdrive and putting it in there. They're not very expensive.
