iMac 17" G5 (2007) boot logo pixelated

Hello,

My iMac 5,1 Intel was working fine until this morning when I turn it on all the screens are pixelated and I cannot do anything, it's booting up until the login screen which is also pixelated and thats it....

Anyone know what the problem is? I assume is the video card but I'm not sure, take a look at the screens attached.

You have a failing main board.

There aren't any consistently cheap sources of main boards to replace it with, and as such the cost of repair is too high to warrant doing it.

EDIT: Also, as a courtesy, please try to resize your pictures before posting.

That means it's time for a new rig. Good thing the 2012's are meant to come out quite soon!

Fixed it using the backing method

I also installed SMC Fan and change the default fan speed to 3000 rpm
