I've just bought a 17" IMac. When the screen is black or showing a dark colour, two pixels are bright blue. Trivial I know, but becoming increasingly more annoying to me. The shop said 4 or more pixels out is not acceptable so I am within limits. Does this sound right? and should I just get a life and live with it?

Otherwise it's a stunning machine for this new mac convertee. Laptop PC now in the bin.

Thanks.

Yeah, my 17" Mac has one retarded pixel, same thing: when up against dark background, its blue. It is a little annoying, but you get used to it and it doesn't bother you as much. theres really nothing u can do about it, sorry. Good luck with the machine otherwise:)

Do a search here or google "stuck pixels." Some people report that gently massaging the area around a stuck pixel will, well, un-stick it.

Good luck ;)
