iMac 2.16 versus 2.4 (or 2.66)

Is there a significant difference between an iMac with a cpu of 2.16 versus a newer iMac? Weighing the difference in getting a refurb iMac and the 2.16 is at a really good price. Your thoughts???

Not really. Buy more RAM with the money you save.

No big difference. Unless you make HD movies.

My friend has a 2.4 and I have the 2.16. His boots about 5 seconds faster, but in os x they are very similar. If you play games the newer versions have nicer video cards, so you might want that.
I would suggest waiting a few more weeks though, I expect new iMacs will be coming out any day(or week), then you will either want to get a new iMac, or get the 2.4 or 2.66 refurbished for the same price as the 2.16 is now.
