I am looking to buy a Mac primarily to run logic pro to work on electronic music. I would to get the Mac pro, but the cost is a little out of my price range. I think that the IMac 24' can handle everything that I want to do.

I know I can save some money by purchasing the 2.4 model and upgrading myself to have more memory and use eternal hard drives to store more files. Will I notice a big difference in the 2.4 over the 2.8 processor as far as running logic and other programs like Photoshop and illustrator?

Would it be better for me to wait and save up some more money or should I go ahead and buy the 2.4 model?
