Imac 20" PPC using external monitor -focus issue

hi,

so my power supply died and I hooked up a rewired PC power supply but it's not firing up the inbuilt monitor. but never mind I used an external 15" monitor till i was given a 32" TV.

at first the tv had a really sharp/clear resolution. but then now it sort of drops into a sort of "fuzzy" mode. unfortunately I only have room to sit it on my desk so it is like arms length from me. I can read it no problem but it is not crystal clear.

how can I get it to be crystal clear?

it's a conia CLCD3275SD tv.
