I had a question about the penryn 20” imac. I went to the apple store and looked under display settings and the max you could go to was 1680 x 1200. I want to hook it up to my 1080p 42” TV and want it to display 1920 x 1080, is that even possible with the 20” because it doesn’t look like it, let me know.
Also I know that apples website says it does display that, but the actual computer didn’t, does anyone have any experience, or help?

No it's not possible. :(

Below are all the possible higher resolution settings for the 20".

I believe those are just the possible resolutions for that particular display (1680x1050 being the native resolution). The ability to run a 1080p TV at 1920x1080 lies in the capabilities of the graphics card and I believe all of the graphics cards with the current iMac line are capable of that output.

Oh yeah, you're right.

So it looks like you the max output is 1900 x 1200.
