Since when did apple stop a new 2003 iMac 1ghz from booting into MacOS 9?

I can't boot into OS9 at all, only classic inside MacOS X... Not like I *really* need to boot into MacOS 9 anyway; I thought only the new powermacs/books only booted into MacOS X?

ALL of Apple's newly announced 2003 machines will not boot into Mac 9, as you just found out.

If the iBook gets an update this year, it will, as well, not boot into Mac 9.

iMac 1GHz introduced Feb. 2003
PowerMac IEEE-1934b based models introduced Jan. 2003
Aluminum Powerbooks introduced Jan. 2003

Each of those machines can still use the Classic environment, but will not boot into Mac 9.

Thanks kingcobra,
Know what is sad? I can't even install the Applecare Warrenty software that came with the Applecare 3yr warrenty I got.
And I can't boot off the CD either.
The Applecare CD also says ©2003 so you would think it would work on this Machine.
