Imac 2007 heat problem

I am using my imac 27" as an external monitor for my gaming PC, however it seems to get very warm when doing so. The strange problem is when using my imac as an imac, there are no hear problems.

So what could be the issue : /

Edit: by heat issue I mean it doesn't get super hot, but it certainly does get hotter then when I'm using my imac normally.

What exactly is getting hot? And what temperature do you consider hot?
