I have read several old threads on this subject.

Today i purchased 2 sticks of crucial 4GB. I got the two for £90 which i thought was an amazing bargain as 1 module will cost over 70 & my intention was to put 1x4GB with an existing 2GB Crucial for 6GB and sell as a 6GB kit...

I had already bought a 6GB kit from a OWC stockist in the U.k but returned the kit as the 2GB module just didn't look up to par, it was a different color, labeled differently, looked very flimsy and brittle (anyway got a refund no problem)

So after reading this 8GB was working for some people, for some time now.. I decided to give it a try, low and behold the RAM was automatically recognized and is running flawlessly 6 hours in, In Activity monitor it's recognized, no page outs etc..

My system started a lot faster seems a lot more responsive runs smooth and flawlessly on Logic Pro X..

Also prior noticed how hot the MAC would get and is so much cooler to the touch haven't even heard the fans kick in since installing the RAM...

I am no expert so am just putting it out there for those of you who are more savvy for some input on this, it'd be much appreciated..

Thanks in advance
