iMac 2010 slow

Hi,

I was hoping someone might be able to assist. I have a stock 2010 iMac, 4GB ram, i3 dual core at 3.2GHz. Running Mavericks.

Even though I have very fast broadband, there is delay at loading up safari pages etc and I find my iMac is sluggish in general.

Would a boost in RAM help me? I don't do editing or any intensive tasks like that I just want a boost in day to day tasks. Of course, it doesn't have an SSD either.

I would go with an SSD. Adding more RAM might also be good, but SSD is what makes the real difference.

Yes you can. Buy one and send it to some place where they can upgrade it for you.

Unfortunately, an SSD is almost always the only real answer to give your Mac a massive boost.
