I've a iMac 27" medio 2011 bought without the SSD option. Is it possible to install SSD and still keep the original HDD as a secondary drive?

The HDD is mechanical, the optical disk drive (ODD) is optical.

Definitely can, I did it. There are almost infinity threads and posts about this. PLEASE!!! look around before you start another thread asking about the install difficulty and possibly issues as well as the difference in SSD performance.
