Howdy all,

I know with iMac's with the HDD in, to replace this with an SSD you need to get round the temp sensor issue correct?

Well I have a BTO iMac 27" 3.4GHz i7 with the SSD only option (NO HDD in there at all) on it's way to me, and when the inevitable happens in the future and the SSD fails, would I have the same issue replacing this as I would a HDD to SSD?

So when it fails, could I just buy any SSD from any store and chuck that in place of my single failed SSD? Or would I need to get a work around the temp sensor issue too?

I suppose what I am asking is, are the temp sensors on iMac's only on the HDDs? Or is it on SSDs as well?

Hope that makes sense?
